29/04/2015 09:47:51The Magician’s Nephew is a book by C.S lewis. It talks about two kids called Polly and Digory who receive magic rings from digory’s uncle. Putting the rings on transports them into the wood of worlds. From there they can jump into any pond and it will transport them to another world. They encounter wonders including an evil queen, a magical lion and a dying city.

The magician’s nephew is a fantasy story, however, it draws you in and almost makes you believe the impossible. You very quickly get involved in it and transported to new places with Polly and Digory. Polly and Digory are pretty normal children, however some of the people they meet are amazing. It is a great blend of fantasy and reality.

The story quickly makes you want to know more about Polly and Digory and how they will extract themselves from the difficult situations. It is lucky they have their rings. However the friendship between Polly and Digory is pushed to the point of breaking, due to actions of Digory.

The language is descriptive and it is easy to see all the different characters in your mind. However it still leaves plenty for your imagination to create.

I recommend this book to anyone over the age of 8 as it is a bit scary. It also has enough information to even draw adults in. Enjoy.
