It is about a boy named Matthew Freeman or just Matt who has just stopped “The Old Ones” re-entering earth through a “Gate” called “Raven’s Gate”

Matt has been sent to Peru by a group called “Nexus” to investigate another gate opening when he arrives at the airport everything goes wrong, first he loses his guardian Richard Cole and then wakes up being robbed. This boy is actually “The second of the five” a Peruvian boy called Pedro but at the time of this, Matt does not know and gets angry at Pedro eventually forcing him to take him to “Hotel Euphoria”. He goes inside and tries to check in under his fake name “Paul Carter” the receptionist says there is no room booked for Paul Carter as the Police arrive, goes up to the police and say that his “brother” had got kidnapped and the Police chief said “Oh really Matthew Freeman” as he kicked him.

Imagine Matthew as a kid, he has just started school and is being bullied but unlike real life someone came and helped. Before Matt knew it all the police were unconscious on the floor. Pedro instead of leaving and going home after Matt went inside he stayed there until Matt was being hurt and pulled out a slingshot shot every cop then Matt got up and they both ran away.

Matt isn't described in this book since he was described in the first ,but Pedro is. He is a small Peruvian boy in old broken jeans and T-shirt with light brown skin. He kind of reminds me of starving kids in Africa except better fed than them.

I recommend this book to boys 11 and over who enjoy Adventure-Horror or have read the first book!
