Summary: Grace and Tippi are twins. Conjoined twins. And at the age of sixteen, their life begins to change. No longer able to be home-schooled, it's time for them to join society and for them to see the world. And for world to see them. For the first time ever, they have real friends. People who take them for who they are and accept that they are just like any other teenagers. They smoke, they drink, they argue, they laugh, they cry, they fall in love. But what neither of the twins has told anyone is that Tippi keeps fainting. With Grace being the weaker twin, Tippi has been supporting them both. But she can only sustain this, and their secret, for so long. As Tippi's heart begins to fail, the girls must make the life-changing and heart-wrenching decision to separate. Will either of them survive the surgery? And even if they do, how do they face a life apart?Librarian's Miscellania

27/06/2018 13:51:53 | I read the book One by Sarah Crossan. It is about 2 girl, Tippi and Grace who are conjoined twins who go through a tough time when the money gets short and Grace's life goes on the line. They get separated but only one makes it. I recommend this book to young adults who like mystery, suspense and heartfelt stories. | |
15/08/2018 09:58:13 | This book not only was a beautiful tale about sisterly love and relationship but also really gave insight into what it would be like being conjoined twins. I absolutely loved every bit of the book, from start till finish I had to keep reading. I loved how Tippi and Grace’s personalities contradicted each other, like yin and yang, only whole when together. I recommend this book to anyone, but I think girls may find this book interesting as it’s written for more of a female audience. One is written for 13 year olds and above, as younger readers may not understand or like the situations Tippi and Grace get themselves into. |
