28/04/2015 07:33:37 | This book is about 12 year-old twins, John and Philippa Gaunt who discovered they were genies, or djinn. Their Uncle Nimrod, also a djinn, is teaching them to control their powers which including travelling to different places, making objects appear and disappear, and granting three wishes to a worthy person. John and Philippa also learn about how there has to be an equal balance of good and bad luck in the world. I loved this book because it is really interesting to read, and the stories that come up within the book always make me want to read more and more. By looking t the front cover, I can kind of picture how the characters would look, and the book felt real. This book has a really nice looking cover, and there are a lot of details in it which in my opinion, is very important. The font in the book is just the right size, since it is a chapter book. If it was smaller, it would be hard to read, but as it is, the wrods are very clear, I would recommend this book to people who like longer books with magic in them. This book would probably suit 10+ kids, because younger students could get bored with it easily. For me, this book would be fine for both genders. |
