She is used to seeing hidden things through her night-vision goggles, but one night she sees something that could get her into a whole lot of trouble... Viola has always believed she would be dead before she was twenty, but now she must decide just how far she's willing to go to help her parents keep their beloved farm. 27/03/2018 07:06:48I recently read the book Night Vision by Ella West, which I enjoyed immensely. I enjoyed it because it had a witty plotline that hooked me, as well as it gave me awareness to Xeroderma Pigmentosum (XP for short). I had never heard about this genetic problem. One thing that I didn’t particularly like about this book was Viola’s relationship with her mother. Viola barely told her mum anything which made me sad because I would hate to be in her mother's situation with a daughter who doesn't share with you her feelings and experiences. Other than that I liked the book and would recommend this book to 10 year olds plus because it isn’t too graphic and younger readers would still get the plot line. Night Vision is gender neutral and even if the reader doesn't enjoy they sure will learn something.
